As NextLogical's Consulting Nutritionist, Lesley serves clients by helping them fully understand nutrition and its impact on employee wellness, productivity and healthplan costs. Lesley often makes specific, actionable recommendations to our clients regarding nutritional deficits within the covered population requiring targeted support, specific member education, and interventions to correct gaps in patient self-care. Lesley also conducts "Lunch & Learn" sessions for NextLogical's clients on nutrition, dieting and certain disease management topics.
Lesley is a Clinical Dietitian Specialist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital where she has been a practicing medical nutrition therapist for 14 years. She is currently seeing a variety of clients on an outpatient basis at Johns Hopkins Greenspring Station facility. Lesley also counsels students in the health center at Johns Hopkins Universitys main campus on multiple nutritional issues including eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia and binge eating.
The goal of Lesleys practice involves helping clients initiate realistic approaches to conquer nutritionally based diseases such as overweight and obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and undesirable lipid profiles. Lesley also supports her clients with other diseases including eating disorders, cancer, kidney and liver disease, and a variety of gastrointestinal disorders through minimizing symptoms and medical side effects through nutrition.
Lesley received her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition Sciences from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. She went on to complete her dietetic internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital in affiliation with the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.
In her spare time, Lesley enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, and enjoying the outdoors. She enjoys skiing, hiking, walking, swimming and yoga. She also enjoys watching football and baseball, especially if the Boston Red Sox are playing!
