Senior Account Manager
Before joining NextLogical, Cathy served for seven years in account management and later in executive sales support for one of the nation's largest Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM), Express Scripts, where she was responsible for training and managing a team of professionals responsible for developing Express Scripts' customized proposals to large companies.
Prior to working in the PBM field, Cathy served as the Account Manager for the MidAtlantic region's largest third-party administrator (TPA) where she was responsible for implementing, coordinating and managing self-funded benefit programs for more than twenty major employers.
Cathy was the Benefits Manager for a 350 employee healthcare organization where she was responsible for all aspects of self-funded and fully insured benefits administration, as well as, recruiting. Cathy was also involved in the development of job descriptions, employee handbooks, policies and procedures. As part of a rapidly growing enterprise, Cathy successfully integrated the Human Resources functions for several mergers and acquisitions.
Cathy has an extensive background in benefit plan design; funding alternatives; stop-loss contracts and negotiations; and report production and analysis. She is well versed in federal compliance issues applicable to ERISA plans, and has been involved in all aspects of employee communications.
In addition to her work in the benefits arena, Cathy also worked as a Human Resources Representative for T. Rowe Price where she had responsibility for company-wide benefit programs and, in particular, Training and Development. She has also managed state-of-the-art Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
Having worked on both sides of the benefits arena, Cathy brings a unique quality to her position with NextLogical. She has been involved in all aspects of employee benefits for over 12 years having worked intensively in both a payor and an HR environment.
Cathy earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration & Human Resources from Towson University and her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources from the University of Baltimore. Cathy is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Cathy enjoys being with her family, volunteering at her childrens schools, reading and being at the beach.
